Sum 41 is a Canadian pop-punk band, from Ajax, Ontario, formed from members of local rival bands, 41 days into the summer of 1996. They signed a record deal with Island Records in 1999 and released their hair-metal/poppunk fusion album ''Half Hour Of Power'' and their second album ''All Killer No Filler'' came next, with Sum 41 releasing several international hit singles beginning with 2001's "Fat Lip".
