Oasis are a British rock band that originally formed in Manchester. They were one of the most prominent bands in the Britpop movement that emerged in Great Britain as a reaction to Grunge and House music in the mid-1990s.The band is led by lead guitarist/songwriter/vocalist Noel Gallagher and his younger brother, vocalist/songwriter Liam Gallagher, who are the only remaining original band-members.
