Born out of the British post-punk era of the late 1970's, Pretenders have evolved mainly as a four-piece outfit with various members around core vocalist and songwriter Chrissie Hynde, playing a distinctive style of rock and pop.
The latest (2002) line-up as featured on the 'Loose Screw' album is:
Chrissie Hynde (Lead vocals, guitar), Adam Seymour (Lead guitar, backing vocals), Martin Chambers (Drums) & Andy Hobson (Bass).
