I found you laying there,
I fell to my knees and cradled you.
I knew the mysteries above,

I put my hand on the wound,
To hide the truth,
That you've already slipped away from me.
To a distant place,
A higher plane,
Where no hurt or harm can reach you.
I would hope,
That your soul explodes,
So we all get a tiny piece of you.
To carry deep in our hearts,
As we embark,
Through places of beauty, or through the dark.
To stay with me,
Through brighter dawns,
Or in times of desperation.
