Yoko Ono Lennon (born February 18, 1933 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese musician and artist who has lived most of her life in the United States. She was already a minor celebrity in the art world when she achieved worldwide fame or notoriety through her relationship and eventual marriage with then-Beatle John Lennon. She currently resides in New York City.In Japanese kanji, her name is written 小野 洋子 (''Ono Yōko'').
