Puddle of Mudd is an American post-grunge band, or rather "nu-grunge", some would say. The original incarnation of this band was formed in the mid-1990s in Kansas City, Missouri. After this incarnation split up, a new version was formed in Los Angeles by vocalist Wes Scantlin. Like many nu-grunge bands, Puddle of Mudd is frequently accused of being a talentless derivative of the famed Seattle grunge scene's legendary act, Nirvana.
