Blake Shelton is an American country music singer. He is not the son of classic country singer ''Ricky Van Shelton''. Shelton moved to Nashville, TN from his hometown of Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 17 and scored a record contract with Warner Bros. Records. He reached the top of the Billboard country chart with "Austin", the first single from his eponymous debut album. His sophomore effort ''The Dreamer'' appeared in 2003.
