Avenged SevenfoldAvenged Sevenfold (also known as A7X) is a metalcore band from Huntington Beach, California, formed in 1999. The title Avenged Sevenfold is taken from the biblical story of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4:15(NIV), which reads, "But the Lord said to him, Therefore whoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold'"The band was formed while its members were still in high school.
