Rival Schools are a post-hardcore and alternative rock band from New York City. Formed by Walter Schreifels, frontman of the influential group Quicksand, the band were a hardcore 'supergroup' - its members being alumni of such '80s and '90s hardcore bands as Gorilla Biscuits, Civ, Youth Of Today, Project X, Judge.
