When I was a child, learning how to stand
My father did for me the things a father does
Taking my first steps, walking tall and proud
Not knowing that it was his strength that held me up
But I’m still a young disciple, learning to believe
And there are times I need a brother’s prayer to rescue me
So cover me when I’m uncertain
Cover me when I’m unsure
Cover me with loving prayer that I might be pure
Cover me in case I stumble and I lose His point of view
From Your knees please lift me up and I will follow You
We have all of Him, so we have all we need
To dance among the lions and remain at peace
Prayer is the key that open’s heaven’s door
Unleashing all the power of the bended knee
