Youngstown is a city in north eastern Ohio with a population just below 80,000. During the first half of the 20th century, the city enjoyed unprecedented economic times due to the numerous steel mills that lined the Mahoning River and defined the city. However, due to both local and national factors, the steel industry faltered during the 1970's and thousands of jobs were lost.
