Yankee Grey was an American country music group originally composed of six members: David Buchanan (bass guitar), Matthew Basford (lead guitar), Joe Caverlee (fiddle), Kevin Griffin (drums), Jerry Hughes (keyboards), and Tim Hunt (lead vocals), all of whom met in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1986, the band toured throughout the state of Ohio before being signed to a record deal with Monument Records in 1999.
