Stephen Malkmus (born May 30th 1966, Santa Monica, California) of Pavement fame also comprises part of rock group The Silver Jews, along with poet/lyricist David Berman, and is currently pursuing a solo career backed by musical band The Jicks (J of Jagger minus "M" of Mick).
