Walfredo De Los Reyes Palau IV profile

Cuban-born drummer, percussionist and producer, often credited simply as Walfredo Reyes or Wally Reyes. He is the son of famed Latin percussionist Walfredo De Los Reyes, Sr. and grandson of Walfredo De Los Reyes II, a renowned Cuban trumpet player and singer.

Some confusion may arise from the fact that in the earlier years of his father's career, his father was often credited as Walfredo De Los Reyes, Jr. to distinguish him from his own father, the trumpet player. Recordings credited to Walfredo De Los Reyes, Jr., dating from the 1940s through the early 1960s are most certainly Walfredo De Los Reyes, Sr. and not his son.

Walfredo De Los Reyes, Jr. has toured and recorded with many well-known artists, including Santana (official drummer 1989/91 and 1992/93), Traffic, Steve Winwood, Jackson Browne, Gloria Estefan, Rickie Lee Jones, Richard Marx, Sergio Mendes, Smokey Robinson, Boz Scaggs, Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin and Johnny Hallyday.
