Pansy Division are one of the first queercore punk bands. They formed in California in 1992.Their first appearance came with the release of the Outpunk Records compilation ''Outpunk Dance Party'', to which they contributed the song "I Can't Sleep". Since this time they have released many singles and LPs, generally on the independent record label Lookout! Records, then on Alternative Tentacles.
