The Notwist is a German indie rock band, but they have been very strongly influenced by the electronica scene with the other groups of Morr Music.TOC
History
The group was formed in Weilheim, near Munich, in 1989 with this line-up: Markus Acher (Guitar, Vocals), Michael Acher (Bass), and Mecki Messerschmidt (Drums). Martin Gretschmann (aka Console) joined the group in 1997.
In 1990 they recorded their self-titled debut, a grunge-metal orientated LP.
