Modern English was a New Wave band famous for their hit song, "I Melt With You."
History
They were originally a punk band called the Lepers and became Modern English in 1979. The band consisted of Robbie Grey (vocals and guitar), Gary McDowell (guitar), Richard Brown (drums), Mick Conroy (bass), and Stephen Walker (keyboards.) In the 1980's they released their best known song "I Melt With You" which, in the late 1990's would be used in a Burger King commercial.
