Mobb Deep, also known as The Infamous Mobb Deep, is a hip hop duo from Queensbridge, New York. The group was founded in 1992 by MC/producer Havoc (b. May 21, 1974) and MC Prodigy (b. November 2, 1974). Mobb Deep released a number of albums from the early 1990s onwards. Producers for the group have included Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest for their 1993 debut, and Havoc from then on; in the early 2000s, Havoc began sharing production duties with The Alchemist.
