Hoobastank (also colliquially referred to as Hooba) is a rock band best known for their hits "Crawling in the Dark" (2001), "Running Away" (2002) and a hit single, "The Reason" in 2004.Early careerHoobastank formed in the Los Angeles County suburb Agoura Hills in 1994. Vocalist Doug Robb met with guitarist Dan Estrin in a high school battle of the bands competition and decided to form a band. They recruited Markku Lappalainen and Chris Hesse to form Hoobastank.
