Dr. Feelgood is a nickname given to physicians who overprescribe psychoactive medications. Specifically, the name has been used to refer to Dr. Max Jacobson, a doctor who allegedly prescribed shots of adrenaline to John F. Kennedy and a host of Hollywood celebrities. Doctor Jacobson's license was revoked in 1975.The piano-blues musician Piano Red briefly recorded under the name Dr. Feelgood & the Interns, which is the source of the name for the band described below.
