Cake (officially capitalized "CAKE") is an American indie band from Sacramento, California which has had several hits throughout the 1990s and 2000s from six albums. History Cake was formed in 1991 by vocalist/songwriter John McCrea, guitarist Greg Brown, trumpeter Vince DiFiore, bassist Shon Meckfessel and drummer Frank French.
