Beanie Sigel Beanie Sigel (born Dwight Grant) is an African-American rapper, signed to Damon Dash and Jay-Z's Roc-a-Fella Records since 1998 until 2005 when officially became a member of Dash Music Group. He comes from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Beanie Sigels name derives from the street in Philadelphia where he was raised, "Sigel Street" and "Beans" is what people used to call him as a child because he farted a lot.
