Afterhours are an alternative italian rock band, formed in Milan in the second half of the '80s.
Band's biography
The Afterhours formed in 1985 from an idea of Manuel Agnelli. The name of the group is a tribute to the Velvet Underground (After Hours). The debut is the single My bit boy (1987), which will be followed a year later by the EP: All Good Children Go to Hell. The band releases two albums and two EPs in English language. Since 1995 (whit "Germi"), the group switches to Italian language (except the album Ballads for Little Hyenas produced Greg Dulli, who accompanied the group in 2006 in United States tour). In 2009, at Sanremo Music Festival the band won the prize Critics Award "Mia Martini". In the same year make the project "Il paese ? reale" (i.e. the nation is real), was meant to promote rock bands emerging Italian and urge people to bring their talents.
